Astral Bond vs Thrax damage calculation
Astral Bond’s Void damage buff was once nerfed from 120% to 30%, but thanks to various updates, it has once again become a powerful option against enemies that require Void damage to be defeated.
However, if DE still intends for those enemies to be dealt with primarily by the Operator, there is a high chance it could be nerfed again.

Recommended Companion Weapons
Vulcax
Although it has drawbacks of low Reload Speed and Fire Rate, it boasts the highest burst damage among robotic weapons. Not only the AoE, but also the beam can double-hit a Spectral Thrax with Scourge’s bullet attractor when fired from below.
Verglas Prime
It outperforms Vulcax in sustained DPS and also has a higher Riven disposition.
Huras Claw
When headshots and Galvanized mod effects are not taken into account, it deals more damage than Vulcax. However, its short range can cause attacks to miss the target.
Adaza Claw
While its damage is lower than that of the Huras Claw, the Swipe mod allows for slightly improved range.
Affected Mods
Excluding Riven mods, the only mods that affect Void damage against Thrax ghosts and Eidolons are the following. Worthy Comradery and Madurai’s Contamination Wave have no effect.
Aura
Summoner’s Wrath
Multiplicative with the other mods. Coaction Drift does not affect it.
Sentinel Weapon (Rifle)
Base Damage
Serration, Heavy Caliber
Critical Chance
Critical Delay or Point Strike, Argon Scope or Galvanized Scope, Proton Jet, Primary Acuity
Critical Damage
Vital Sense, Hammer Shot, Bladed Rounds
Multishot
Split Chamber or Galvanized Chamber, Vigilante Armaments
Weak Point Damage
Primary Acuity
Temporary buff effects from mods such as Argon Scope and Galvanized Diffusion will apply to your sentinel weapon if the same mod is equipped on both your primary and sentinel weapons, and the condition is fulfilled by the primary weapon. Because the aiming condition for sentinel weapons is fulfilled automatically, aiming with the primary weapon is not required.
Proton Jet only needs to be equipped on the sentinel weapon to take effect; it does not need to be equipped on both weapons.
The Vigilante set effect does not affect sentinel weapons.
Beast Claw
Base Damage
Maul, Conditioning Mods, Cull the Weak
Critical Chance
Bite, Hunter Synergy
Critical Damage
Bite, Radon Claws
Non-Critical Damage
Cull the Weak
Headshot
Damage to the spectral Thrax also benefits from the 3x headshot multiplier and the 2x critical damage multiplier on critical headshots.
Using Scourge’s bullet attractor allows you to achieve headshots with sentinel weapons. Since they are floating, shooting them from below won’t register as a headshot, so you need to either move away to make the angle closer to horizontal or jump to gain height.
Spectral Thrax Health
The health of the spectral form is considered to be the health of the physical form divided by 2.5.
In the case of the spectral form of the Thrax Centurion, its health ranges from about 64,000 to 166,000 at bounty levels, and about 483,000 to 569,000 in the Steel Path version. At level 9999, its health reaches approximately 3,867,094.
Void Damage Calculation
Thrax Spectral Forms originally took 10 times damage, but with Void damage becoming their weakness, they now take 1.5 times more, resulting in a total of 15 times the normal damage.
The 30% Void damage from Astral Bond actually becomes 31.25% due to the quantization.
$$ \frac{\text{round}\left( \frac{x \times 0.3}{\frac{x}{16}} \right) \times \frac{x}{16}}{x} = \frac{\text{round}(16 \times 0.3)}{16} = 0.3125 \quad \scriptsize{(x:\text{base damage})}$$
The 60% damage gained from Astral Bond is added to the base damage for robotic weapons, whereas for Beast Claws it is multiplied.
Beast Claw
Attacks from Beast Claws have a high chance to be considered stealth attacks with a +300% stealth bonus against many enemies, including Thrax ghosts.
The following calculations include Summoner’s Wrath and the stealth bonus.
Huras Claw, Critical:
$$15 \times 0.3125 \times 1.75 \times 350 \times \left(1 + 3.85 + 3.3 \right) \times 1.6 \times \left(3.5 \times \left(1 + 2.2 + 0.8 \right) + 3 \right) \approx 636{,}464 $$
Adaza Claw, Critical:
$$15 \times 0.3125 \times 1.75 \times 90 \times \left(1 + 3.85 + 3.3 \right) \times 1.6 \times \left(2.5 \times \left(1 + 2.2 + 0.8 \right) + 3 \right) \approx 125{,}153 $$
Adaza Claw, Orange Critical:
$$15 \times 0.3125 \times 1.75 \times 90 \times \left(1 + 3.85 + 3.3 \right) \times 1.6 \times \left(1 + 2 \times \left(2.5 \times \left(1 + 2.2 + 0.8 \right) \mathbin{-} 1 \right)+ 3 \right) \approx 211{,}798 $$
Vulcax
Vulcax consists of a hitscan beam with 500 base damage and an AoE with 100 base damage, but the latter does not benefit from Multishot, the headshot multiplier, or the 2x critical multiplier on headshots.
Based on the above, the following calculations first compute the damage of the AoE. The beam damage is then calculated by multiplying that value by 5 and applying factors such as Multishot. When using Scourge, the second hit of the AoE is treated as 0.95x to account for falloff.
Base Build (+Summoner’s Wrath)

A Riven with over 200% Critical Chance makes Galvanized Scope unnecessary, but the maximum possible value is 204.2%, making it difficult to obtain. Other useful positive stats on a Riven are Damage, Critical Damage, Multishot, Reload Speed, Magazine Size, and Fire Rate.
If you are not aiming to one-shot level 9999 Thrax, there is no need to use a Riven to guarantee critical hits.
$$ 15 \times 0.3125 \times 1.75 \times 100 \times \left(1 + 1.65 + 1.65 + 0.6\right) \times 2.5 \times \left(1 + 1.2 + 0.6\right) \approx 28{,}137 $$
Body, 3x Multishot:
$$ \left( 5 \times 28{,}137 \times 3 + 28{,}137 \right) = 450{,}192 $$
Eclipse (Ability Strength 380%):
$$ 450{,}192 \times \left(1 + 2 \times 3.8 \right) \approx 3{,}871{,}651 $$
Body, 2x Multishot, Scourge:
$$ \left( 5 \times 28{,}137 \times 2 \times 2 + 28{,}137 \times 1.95 \right) \approx 617{,}607 $$
Eclipse (Ability Strength 264%):
$$ 617{,}607 \times \left(1 + 2 \times 2.64 \right) \approx 3{,}878{,}572 $$
Head, 3x Multishot, Scourge:
$$ \left( 5 \times 28{,}137 \times 3 \times 3 \times 2 + 28{,}137 \times 1.95 \right) \approx 2{,}587{,}197 $$
Subsumed Eclipse (Ability Strength 165%):
$$ 2{,}587{,}197 \times \left(1 + 0.3 \times 1.65 \right) \approx 3{,}867{,}860 $$
(Because Summoner’s Wrath stacks additively with Faction Damage, subsumed Roar needs 417% Ability Strength.)
Head, 2x Multishot, Scourge:
$$ \left( 5 \times 28{,}137 \times 2 \times 3 \times 2 + 28{,}137 \times 1.95 \right) \approx 1{,}743{,}087 $$
Subsumed Eclipse (Ability Strength 407%):
$$ 1{,}743{,}087 \times \left(1 + 0.3 \times 4.07 \right) \approx 3{,}871{,}396 $$
Acuity Build (+Summoner’s Wrath)

This build allows for guaranteed critical hits without a Riven, but the damage from bodyshots is quite low, making it potentially impractical.
$$ 15 \times 0.3125 \times 1.75 \times 100 \times \left(1 + 1.65 + 1.65 \mathbin{-} 0.15 + 0.6\right) \times 2.5 \times \left(1 + 1.2 + 0.6\right) \approx 27{,}275 $$
Head, Scourge:
$$ \left( 5 \times 27{,}275 \times (2 + 3.5) \times 1.5 \times 2 + 27{,}275 \times 1.95 \right) \approx 2{,}303{,}373 $$
Subsumed Eclipse (227% Ability Strength):
$$ 2{,}303{,}373 \times \left(1 + 0.3 \times 2.27 \right) \approx 3{,}871{,}970 $$
New Build in the video (+Summoner’s Wrath)

$$15 \times 0.3125 \times 1.75 \times 100 \times \left(1 + 1.65 + 1.857 \mathbin{-} 0.15 + 0.6\right) \times 2.5 \times \left(1 + 1.2 \right) \approx 22{,}365 $$
Body, 2x Multishot, Scourge, Eclipse (348% Ability Strength):
$$ \left( 5 \times 22{,}365 \times 2 \times 2 + 22{,}365 \times 1.95 \right) \times \left(1 + 2 \times 3.48 \right) \approx 3{,}907{,}658 $$
Old Build in the video

$$15 \times 0.3125 \times 100 \times \left(1 + 1.65 + 1.649 \mathbin{-} 0.15 + 0.6\right) \times 2.5 \times \left(1 + 1.2 + 1.032\right) \approx 17{,}987 $$
Body, 3x Multishot, Eclipse (358% Ability Strength):
$$ \left( 5 \times 17{,}987 \times 3 + 17{,}987 \right) \times \left(1 + 2 \times 3.58 \right) \approx 2{,}348{,}383 $$
Body, 3x Multishot, Scourge, Eclipse (358% Ability Strength):
$$ \left( 5 \times 17{,}987 \times 3 \times 2 + 17{,}987 \times 1.95 \right) \times \left(1 + 2 \times 3.58 \right) \approx 4{,}689{,}427 $$
Head, 3x Multishot, Scourge, Eclipse (358% Ability Strength):
$$ \left( 5 \times 17{,}987 \times 3 \times 3 \times 2 + 17{,}987 \times 1.95 \right) \times \left(1 + 2 \times 3.58 \right) \approx 13{,}495{,}862 $$
